LITTLE ROCK - The only two Division I swimming and diving programs in the state of Arkansas go head-to-head tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. within the Donaghey Aquatic Center on the campus of UA-Little Rock. It will be Little Rock's first of three SEC opponent showdowns this season.
For Trojan fans following along, live results can be found on the MeetMobile app under the event name "Little Rock vs Arkansas."
"We are excited to host the Arkansas Razorbacks at home," said head coach
Nathan Townsend. "They will probably be our toughest challenge this year, so we are looking forward to racing hard and competing at a high level."
"This will also be our first diving competition since the All-Arkansas Invite," he added, "So I know Coach Chris is excited to see what our divers can accomplish this weekend."
A tough challenge should lead to more success, as
Jaelle Carlson and Olivia Elgin collected both Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week awards in the first vote of the season following a tri-meet test on the road last weekend. Little Rock looks to sweep all three honors, as the Trojans eye the Diver of the Week award now that both
Kyra Apodaca and
Julia Banister are back on the boards.
