ROCK, Ark.—The UALR volleyball team finished the three match
weekend with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-21) sweep of Louisiana-Lafayette Sunday at
the Jack Stephens Center. The Trojans
improve to 12-6 overall and 6-4 in conference action.

Bucur led both teams with 11 kills, while Emily Pepperman both teams in digs with
16. Giuliana
De Francesco led the team in assists with 37, and Katharina Nobel recorded three block solos.

Souza Moura opened the first set for UALR, before Louisiana-Lafayette
(7-17, 1-8 SBC) tied the score on a kill.
The score tied six times with the lead changing twice
through the opening points of the set. With
the score tied at seven, a kill by Becky
Mann sparked a five point run by UALR giving the Trojans the advantage.
The Trojans held the Ragin' Cajuns to 14 points scoring
the final four points and winning the set on a kill by Mann.
UALR recorded the team's highest attack percentage in
set two of .500 with 16 kills on 26 attempts and three errors and opened the
set 1-0 on a kill by Nobel.
The score tied nine times with the lead changing four,
before the Trojans used a four point run to gain a 14-12 advantage. UL came within one point during the remainder
of the set, but UALR held the lead winning the set 25-21 on a kill by Bucur.
The scored tied 11 times in set three with the Trojans
opening with a 2-0 start on a kill by Bucur and a service ace by Souza Moura.
With the score tied at 21, the Trojans recorded four
straight points on two UL errors and kills by Bucur and Eva Chunyan to win the set and match 25-21.
UALR starts a five match road swing on Friday, October
23 as they travel to Miami, Fla. to face Florida International. Match is set for 6 p.m. C.S.T.
